Technical Superintendent

Roles & Responsibilities

Monitors and controls the safe and cost efficient technical operation of all assigned vessels using the available resources, within the defined parameters of cost, commercial viability and operational excellence in line with Owners expectations. Ensure environmental compliance policies are upheld.

Ship technical support

Understands the contractual agreements with customers to be able to deliver the same with regards to the ship management services for each assigned vessel, in a safe and cost efficient manner.
Monitors the effective operation of the equipment and machineries of the assigned vessels, identifying potential discrepancies from operational standards and proposes and/or implements solutions that will enhance the efficiency, performance and safety of the vessels.
Participates in the development of the maintenance and repairs plan for the assigned vessels and monitors its accurate execution in order to identify compliance of operations according to time schedule, quality of deliverables and budget.
Projects the requirements in maintenance and repairs activities, spare parts and technical training of the assigned vessels in order to provide valuable information for the development of the budget and maintenance plan of the vessels. Upon approval, follows-up its accurate execution, identifying, reporting and providing solutions in potential discrepancies.
Monitors all vessels trading certificates to ensure compliance with existing maritime legislation, safety regulations and operational standard requirements of all regulatory bodies.
Oversees and monitors the overall technical operation of the assigned vessels, ensures the timely and accurate completion of dry-docking on budget and of other relevant shipboard maintenance and repair activities, in order to support the operational effectiveness of vessels and increase customer’s satisfaction and commitment.

Execution of technical inspections

Manages all vessel visits, audits and inspections effectively right from planning to implementation and follow up with the aim of supporting and enhancing the operational efficiency of the fleet. Ensures that vessel visit reports are made timely, are accurate and submitted to the owner, Fleet Director and/or MD to allow a detailed analysis of the broad and specific issues affecting vessel operations and the plan for proposed corrective actions.
Liaises with Quality department in order to obtain the necessary information that will secure the alignment of all technical requirements and standards of the fleet assigned with Company’s QC policy as well as with relevant legislation, contributing towards environmental protection and enhancement of company’s image.

Execution of maintenance activities

Monitors the accurate, timely and qualitative execution of all maintenance and repairs activities, in cooperation with the Onboard Management Team, reviewing the compliance of deliverables from subcontractors with agreements and requirements, in order to ensure optimum, efficient and safe operation of each assigned vessel.

Purchasing activities

Monitors and assesses the requisition requests received from the vessels. The approved requisition requests are processed by the Central Purchasing Team or the Technical Officers, as appropriate, for obtaining quotations. Evaluates the quotations received and gives the approval to proceed with the placing of the order and ensures the timely supply of all required spare parts & stores to vessels.

Education and Qualifications:

B.S. degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture or equivalent, or
Chief Engineer’s qualification.

Work Experience:

5 years of sailing experience as Senior Engineer Officer , or
5 years of shore experience as a technical superintendent with a ship management/owning company, or
5 year of combined experience of the above positions.

Operations Manager

Take responsibility for ensuring smooth post-fixture operations of assigned vessels in close cooperation with our chartering desk, the vessels’ masters and all relevant external parties (charterers, agents, shippers, receivers, terminals and bunker suppliers)

Arrange, coordinate and monitor vessels’ sailing schedule and vessels’ port activities

Maintaining the internal voyage management software

Issue invoices, collect outstanding hire/freight, handle agents and order bunker stems

Monitor closely vessels’ performance (speed-consumption) and avoid off-hire

Analyse the economic performance of the vessels by comparing the actual results in relation to the pre-calculation of the trip

Studying upcoming regulations and requirements and advising colleagues on needed actions

Keep a close eye on all related markets next to Dry Bulk shipping.

Developing and intensifying relationships with relevant external parties (charterers, agents, shippers, receivers, terminals and bunker suppliers)

Support colleagues with ad-hoc tasks as required

Great understanding of Dry Bulk shipping and related cargoes, particularly with voyages.

Ability to plan and execute in a structured and proactive manner

Good understanding of Voyage Charter Parties

Since we are operating worldwide, good knowledge of English is required. Additional language skills are a plus

Ability to work with Microsoft Office products

Knowledge of Shipnet voyage software is a plus

Shipbroker Operator

Support shipbrokers in managing daily operations, coordinating fixtures, and ensuring smooth communication between shipowners, charterers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist brokers in executing fixtures and follow-up on operational matters.
Coordinate with shipowners, charterers, and agents on voyage details.
Prepare and manage documentation related to Charter Party agreements.
Monitor vessel schedules and cargo operations.
Maintain records of fixtures and update internal systems.
Provide administrative and operational support to the broking team within the Shipbroking market.

Requirements:

Degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related field.
2–4 years experience in shipbroking operations or shipping operations.
Basic knowledge of chartering processes and shipping documentation.
Strong coordination, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced shipping environment.

S&P Shipbroker

Job Summary:
Responsible for brokering sale and purchase transactions of vessels, connecting shipowners and buyers while managing negotiations and deal execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify and negotiate vessel sale and purchase opportunities.
Liaise with shipowners, buyers, and industry stakeholders.
Prepare market reports and provide advice on vessel values and trends.
Coordinate documentation and transaction processes during deals.
Maintain strong relationships within the shipping market.
Monitor global trends in the Shipbrokingand vessel markets.

Requirements:

Degree in Maritime Studies, Business, or related field.
3–5 years experience in S&P broking or ship sale and purchase activities.
Strong knowledge of Sale and Purchase Shipbrokingand shipping markets.
Strong negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and deal-driven environment.

HSSEQ Manager

The Health, Safety, Security, Quality and Environment (HSSQE) has a clear understanding of company requirements for mainitining marine operational standards of the fleet of vessels while also maintaining the Safety Management System. He/ She will hold a critical position overseeing the safety, security, and environmental aspects of the company’s operations and marine operational readiness of the fleet. In addition the position will also take on the role of DPA & CSO. This role is crucial in ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, industry standards, and company policies. Here are the typical duties and responsibilities associated with this position:

Regulatory Compliance & Operational Readiness:

(A) Ensure compliance with all relevant maritime laws, regulations, international conventions, and industry standards related to health, safety, environment, and security.

(B) Keep abreast of regulatory changes and updates to ensure the company’s continuous compliance.

(C) Ensure the fleet maintains cargo worthiness at all times and all cargo gears and cargo holds are adequately maintained and prepared and required critical spares are in maintained in stock.

Designated Person Ashore (DPA) Responsibilities:

(A) Act as the DPA, overseeing the company’s safety management system (SMS) and ensuring it is properly implemented, maintained, and effective.

(B) Monitor the performance of the SMS, conduct internal audits (AUD03), and initiate corrective actions to address deficiencies and non-conformities.

Company Security Officer (CSO) Responsibilities:

(C) Act as the CSO and oversee the company’s maritime security measures and compliance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

(D) Develop, implement, and maintain the Ship Security Plan (SSP) and conduct regular security assessments and drills.

Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSSQE) Management:

(E) Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s integrated HSSQE management system, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

(F) Monitor and analyse HSSQE performance, incidents, and trends to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous enhancement.

Safety Culture Promotion:

(G) Promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization, encouraging reporting, learning from incidents, and empowering employees to actively engage in safety initiatives.

(H) Conduct safety training and awareness programs to educate employees on safety procedures and practices.

(I) Ensure there is a schedule of visits to vessel which covers HSSQE matters. Minimum number of visits by shore staff to be two per year. Ensure there is a guideline for office visit to vessels that includes HSSQE matters. Shore staff visiting the vessels should lead by example and promote the concept of HSSQE excellence.

(J) Findings and feedback from vessel visits are communicated to the rest of the fleet to ensure that all vessels are on track of achieving HSSQE Excellence.

(K) Findings and feedback from vessel visits are analysed and shared within organization and with vessels.

Emergency Response and Crisis Management:

(L) Develop and maintain emergency response plans and procedures for various scenarios, ensuring readiness to handle emergencies effectively.

(M) Conduct regular emergency drills and exercises to test and improve the preparedness of the organization.

Environmental Compliance:

(N) Develop and oversee the company’s environmental management program, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and regulations.

(O) Implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of company operations and promote environmental sustainability.

Quality Management:

(P) Oversee the company’s quality management system, ensuring adherence to quality standards, certifications, and continuous improvement initiatives.

(Q) Monitor and analyse quality performance and customer feedback to identify areas for enhancement and implement necessary improvements.

Risk Assessment and Mitigation:

(R) Conduct risk assessments related to safety, security, environment, and quality and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks effectively.

(S) Work with relevant departments to implement risk reduction measures and ensure proactive risk management practices.

Education and Qualifications

1) A Maritime related degree

2) CoC Class 1 (Master)

3) Previous on-shore experience in a similar role

5) Vessel inspection and Audit experience.

Crewing Superintendent

Plan, organize and manage day to day crewing personnel functions in compliance with crew department policies and procedures.
Coordinate with Technical and Marine department and arrange interviews for suitable candidates applying for the post of engineers/deck officers.
Maintaining updated crew lists of each vessel at all times.
Maintaining updated personal, medical and training records and certification details of all seagoing personnel; Monitoring of validity of documents and licenses for all ranks on board.
Manage the process of personnel mobilization and demobilization (travel arrangements, visa, hotel accommodation etc.).
Interact closely with manning agents for personnel scheduling and nominate ports for crew change.
Liaise with port agents to ensure smooth logistics arrangement for incoming and outgoing crew.
Check invoices received from agents for crew, travel/accommodation, manning agents, visa etc. and approve them before forwarding them to the Finance department for payment.
Correspond with vessel flag administrations for crew related matters.
Other tasks as assigned from time to time.

Technical Superintendent (Bunker Fleet)

The Technical Superintendent (Bunker Fleet) is responsible for overseeing the technical operation, maintenance, and compliance of bunker vessels. The role ensures vessels operate safely, efficiently, and in accordance with maritime regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage maintenance, repair, and technical performance of bunker fleet vessels.
Plan and monitor dry-docking, inspections, and repair activities.
Ensure compliance with maritime regulations, class requirements, and safety standards.
Monitor vessel performance, fuel consumption, and operational efficiency.
Coordinate with ship crews, shipyards, suppliers, and management on technical matters.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
5–10 years of experience in vessel technical management or marine engineering.
Experience with bunker vessels or tanker operations is preferred.
Knowledge of classification society and maritime regulatory requirements.
Strong technical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Crewing executive (Ship Manager)

Overview

We are representing a reputable ship management company responsible for the technical and crew management of a diverse fleet. The Crewing Executive will play a key role in ensuring vessels are manned with qualified, compliant, and high-performing seafarers in line with international maritime regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute crew changes across assigned vessels, ensuring timely relief and minimal operational disruption
Coordinate with manning agents, masters, and internal teams for mobilisation and demobilisation of seafarers
Ensure all crew meet certification and compliance requirements under International Maritime Organization and Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore guidelines (e.g., STCW, flag state requirements)
Maintain accurate and up-to-date crew records, contracts, and documentation
Monitor crew performance and support appraisals, promotions, and training plans
Handle crew welfare matters, including grievances, medical issues, and repatriation when required
Liaise with payroll/finance teams on wages, allotments, and crew-related costs
Support audits and inspections by ensuring proper documentation and compliance readiness

Requirements

Degree or diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, HR, or related field
2 years of experience in crewing, marine HR, or ship management (fresh grads with maritime exposure may be considered for junior roles)
Good understanding of STCW regulations, flag state requirements, and crew certification
Strong coordination and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple vessels simultaneously
Good communication skills, comfortable dealing with seafarers, masters, and manning agencies globally
Proficient in MS Office; experience with crew management systems is an advantage
Able to work in a fast-paced, operations-driven environment

Fleet Director (Tankers)

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the overall performance of the tanker fleet, ensuring high standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency
Oversee technical operations, including maintenance, dry-docking, and vessel inspections
Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations (e.g., IMO, OCIMF, ISM, MARPOL) and vetting requirements
Manage and guide Technical Superintendents and fleet teams to achieve operational excellence
Monitor vessel performance, budgets, and cost control initiatives
Drive continuous improvement in HSSEQ standards and best practices
Support incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive actions
Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to optimize fleet utilization
Engage with external stakeholders including owners, class societies, and authorities

Requirements

Chief Engineer (Class 1) or Marine Engineering degree or equivalent
Minimum 10–15 years of relevant experience, including shore-based tanker fleet management

Strong knowledge of OCIMF/SIRE, ISM, MARPOL, and classification requirements

Technical Superintendent (LNG)

Role Overview

The Technical Superintendent – LNG is responsible for the safe, efficient, and compliant technical management of assigned LNG vessels (typically 1–3 vessels). The role ensures optimal vessel technical performance, regulatory compliance, planned maintenance execution, dry-docking coordination, and support to shipboard teams.

This position is ideal for experienced LNG marine engineers looking to transition ashore, including candidates fresh from sea with strong operational LNG expertise.

The Technical Superintendent will work closely with vessel crews, classification societies, shipyards, equipment makers, and internal stakeholders to maintain the highest standards of safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
