Job Description
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Technical Superintendent or in a technical management role.
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Proven leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Sound knowledge of maritime regulations, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
- Strong technical expertise in the operation and maintenance of wet fleet vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective technical management of assigned vessels.
- Plan, organize, and supervise Technical Department activities while ensuring effective risk management.
- Ensure compliance with the organization’s Safety Management System (SMS) and relevant maritime regulations.
- Support the implementation, review, and continuous improvement of technical procedures and management systems.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, environmental protection, and energy efficiency.
- Monitor vessel technical performance, maintenance, repairs, dry dockings, and statutory/class compliance.
- Participate in the recruitment and assessment of Technical Superintendents alongside senior management.
- Work closely with fellow Technical Fleet Managers and Senior Technical Superintendents to ensure seamless departmental operations and provide operational coverage during periods of absence.
