- Heed instructions from HSE Manager and assists in handling all marine related (safety, security, injuries, accidents, operations) incident investigation and compile full reports as appropriate – gather and analyze all available information to provide a detail report and corrective measures
- To assist in following up and ensure that all necessary corrective measures are applied within the time frame
- To support in conducting & reviewing of existing risk assessments and developing of any new risk assessments when the need arises
- To assist in developing and reviewing of the safe work procedures to ensure compliance for any new or changes in legislation, regulations and industry practices
- To participate in developing safety plans and programs for all staffs (shore and marine)
- To assist in handling of any internal and external safety audits
- As one of the management representatives in attending audits and customer safety meetings
- Responsible for the tabulation of all marine near miss reporting
- To participate in shipboard meetings and ship drills for each assigned ship at intervals not exceeding 12 months
- Monitoring of the cargo hoses registry and lifting gears registry to ensure that all equipment is certified and valid for safe usage on board and PPE of all shipboard personnel
- Monitoring of the vessels LSA, FFA and gas detectors
- Monitoring of the vessel’s medical supplies as per statutory requirements
- Issue Safety Alerts after finalizing the investigation
- To conduct vessel inspection as per planning when required
- Monthly update to Customer / Company KPIs
- Upkeep of all Share folders related to Safety such as Drills, Safety Meeting and Incident/Accident register
- Provide pre-joining briefing to marine crew
- To conduct ad hoc ROB checks on appointed vessels
- Attending of the Class and Flag State surveys
- Appointed safety committee member to carry out safety briefings for all the vessels
- To attend the regular ship’s visit as instructed (at intervals that will achieve the intended purpose and minimum disruption to the daily operations) for the company’s vessels
- Providing HSE induction training / orientation to all newly join ship crews
- Assist the Emergency Response Team as required
- Other tasks/projects assigned by the HSE Manager
