Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Build the cargo book within the Pacific region (spot and forward) and secure tonnage to cover positions.
- To maintain and develop relationships with clients and other stakeholders.
- To evaluate various opportunities & negotiate and finalise charter parties
- Manage risk exposure via FFA.
- Work closely with Operations department to ensure smooth performance of voyages
- Study/understand new trades and ports.
- Generate and submit performance reports and other assigned reports in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
- University degree in a relevant discipline
- Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an Operating firm.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of supramax trades
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proactivity, ability to be self-reliant and take ownership.
- Ability to foster relationships.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
