- Provide technical expertise and support for 2-stroke marine engines and related systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide solutions for engine performance, reliability, and operational concerns.
- Support customers, service teams, and field personnel with technical guidance and problem resolution.
- Review engine performance data, technical reports, and service findings to identify potential issues and improvements.
- Provide technical advice during installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
- Support field service activities and assist with complex technical cases when required.
- Analyze technical problems and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, service instructions, and recommendations.
- Work closely with engineering, service, product, and other technical teams to resolve customer and operational issues.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engine performance, reliability, maintenance, and technical processes.
- Keep up to date with relevant technical standards, regulations, engine technologies, and industry developments.
- Travel to customer sites, vessels, shipyards, or service locations when required.
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience with 2-stroke marine engines and propulsion systems.
- Relevant experience in marine engine maintenance, commissioning, troubleshooting, field service, or technical support.
- Good understanding of engine components, auxiliary systems, fuel systems, lubrication, combustion, and engine performance.
- Experience diagnosing and resolving complex technical problems.
- Previous experience working with shipowners, shipyards, vessels, or marine service organizations is advantageous.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, manuals, reports, and engine performance data.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Able to work independently and collaborate effectively with technical and cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel internationally when required
