Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow sales of maritime safety and survival equipment across assigned accounts and territories.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore companies, and maritime operators.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
  • Conduct regular sales visits and customer meetings with maritime stakeholders.
  • Understand customers’ technical and operational requirements and recommend suitable safety solutions.
  • Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and tenders.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting through negotiation, closing, and after-sales follow-up.
  • Promote products and services including:
    • Lifeboats and rescue boats
    • Life rafts
  • Follow up on annual servicing, inspection, certification, and maintenance contracts.
  • Work closely with technical and service teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements within the maritime safety industry.
  • Attend maritime exhibitions, conferences, customer events, and industry networking sessions to generate leads.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and CRM records.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, Logistics, or a related discipline.
  • 2–5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within the maritime industry.
  • Experience selling marine equipment, safety equipment, ship services, or technical products is highly preferred.
  • Existing network with shipowners, ship managers, shipyards, offshore operators, or maritime companies would be advantageous.
  • Good understanding of the maritime industry and vessel operations.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
