Job Description

  • Assist in monitoring vessel schedules, voyage progress, port calls, and estimated times of arrival (ETA) and departure (ETD).
  • Coordinate operational requirements with vessels, ship managers, port agents, charterers, terminals, and other stakeholders.
  • Support the preparation and review of voyage instructions, port information, cargo documentation, and operational reports.
  • Monitor vessel movements and follow up on schedule changes, port delays, weather disruptions, and other operational issues.
  • Assist with port call planning, including berth arrangements, cargo operations, bunkering, and agency coordination.
  • Track vessel performance, voyage expenses, port costs, bunker consumption, and other operational data.
  • Maintain accurate voyage records and update internal operational systems and reports.
  • Support the review and processing of invoices, disbursement accounts (DA), and other voyage-related documentation.
  • Assist senior operations personnel in resolving operational issues while ensuring compliance with charter party terms and company procedures.
  • Coordinate with commercial, technical, finance, and ship management teams to ensure smooth vessel operations.
  • Support compliance with maritime regulations, safety standards, environmental requirements, and internal policies.
  • Contribute to operational improvement initiatives and the use of vessel operations or voyage management systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, International Trade, or a related discipline.
  • Fresh graduates and candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Internship or work exposure in shipping operations, vessel operations, chartering, port agency, marine logistics, or ship management is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of vessel operations, port calls, shipping documentation, and maritime terminology.
  • Strong interest in dry bulk shipping, commercial vessel operations, or energy transportation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond to operational requirements when necessary.
  • A proactive, responsible, and team-oriented mindset.
