Job Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the newbuilding supervision sector.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, investors, leasing companies, shipyards, and other maritime stakeholders.
- Represent the company at client meetings, presentations, exhibitions, conferences, and industry events.
- Engage regularly with existing and prospective clients to strengthen relationships and identify upcoming projects.
- Develop professional networks within shipyards to support effective cooperation between owners, shipyards, and project teams.
- Monitor global vessel newbuilding activities, fleet expansion plans, leasing developments, and shipyard market trends.
- Assess industry developments and translate relevant market information into potential commercial opportunities.
- Maintain an updated database of prospective clients, projects, market trends, and business leads.
- Provide market insights and competitor analysis to support commercial strategies.
- Prepare and coordinate client proposals, tenders, presentations, and other commercial submissions.
- Collaborate with technical, operational, and commercial teams to gather and consolidate the required information.
- Manage proposal schedules to ensure all submissions are accurate, professional, and delivered on time.
- Support client clarification meetings, follow-up discussions, and post-submission activities.
- Review and improve proposal templates, presentation materials, and other commercial documents.
- Ensure customer information, business opportunities, and engagement activities are accurately recorded in the CRM system.
- Support sales pipeline monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and opportunity tracking.
- Coordinate the internal handover process following contract award through to project commencement.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure client enquiries and requirements are addressed promptly and effectively.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, or a related maritime discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Management, or a relevant field from a recognised university would be advantageous.
- Commercially driven, with a strong interest in customer engagement and business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, networking, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Willing and able to travel internationally when required.
