Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and consultancy services for offshore and marine assets, including vessels, equipment, and marine projects.
  • Conduct vessel inspections, condition assessments, and technical audits to evaluate operational readiness and compliance.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, inspection findings, feasibility studies, and recommendations for clients.
  • Review vessel specifications, machinery performance, maintenance records, and class documentation.
  • Support vessel acquisition projects by performing technical due diligence and asset evaluations.
  • Assist in newbuilding, conversion, and retrofit projects by reviewing technical documentation and monitoring project progress.
  • Coordinate with shipyards, classification societies, equipment manufacturers, and vessel owners on technical matters.
  • Analyze technical issues and provide engineering solutions to improve vessel performance, reliability, and safety.
  • Monitor project schedules and ensure technical deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
  • Participate in offshore and onboard inspections when required.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international maritime regulations, class requirements, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise to support commercial teams during project evaluations and tender submissions.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in the maritime, offshore, or marine engineering industry.
  • Experience onboard vessels as an Engineer Officer, Technical Superintendent, Marine Surveyor, or similar technical role will be an advantage.
  • Familiarity with vessel machinery systems, maintenance planning, and classification society requirements.
  • Knowledge of offshore support vessels, subsea operations, DP vessels, or marine projects is preferred.
  • Strong technical report writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to travel locally and overseas for vessel inspections, project assignments, and client engagements.
