Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies to drive revenue growth across assigned markets.
Identify, engage, and acquire new customers within the maritime and shipping industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, charterers, operators, brokers, traders, and other key stakeholders.
Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and solution presentations to commercial negotiations and contract closure.
Understand customer operational challenges and position software solutions to address business needs.
Collaborate with product, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure successful implementation and customer adoption.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify new growth opportunities.
Represent the company at industry conferences, exhibitions, and networking events.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline updates using CRM systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Shipping, or a related discipline.
At least 7 years of experience in business development, enterprise software (SaaS) sales, maritime technology, or commercial shipping.
Strong understanding of chartering, shipping operations, or maritime commercial processes.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strategic client relationships.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Experience managing enterprise sales cycles and engaging senior stakeholders.
Willingness to travel as required.
