Job Description
Role Overview
- Entry-level shore-based marine position
- Focus on safety, compliance, and vessel operations support
- Works closely with Marine Superintendents to ensure safe and efficient LPG vessel operations
- Ideal transition role for seafarers moving ashore
Key Responsibilities
- Support vessel operations in line with safety and regulatory standards
- Assist in monitoring ISM compliance and audits
- Provide operational and safety guidance to LPG vessels
- Coordinate with ship staff on marine safety and best practices
- Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and follow-ups
Mandatory Criteria
Sea Experience:
- Minimum 36 months total sea time as a Deck Officer on pressurised LPG carriers
- At least 18 months as Chief Officer (CO)
- Flexibility: Candidates with minimum 12 months as Chief Officer may be considered
Certifications & Training
- ISM / ISO training & certification (preferred but not mandatory)
- Candidates may undergo training after joining if not yet certified
Candidate Profile
- Must hold Chief Officer (Chief Mate) rank
- COC Class 2 (Chief Mate) or Master License required
- Open to candidates:
- Transitioning directly from sea
- With no prior shore experience
- Freshers (newly promoted Chief Officers) are welcome
