Job Description

Role Overview

  • Entry-level shore-based marine position
  • Focus on safety, compliance, and vessel operations support
  • Works closely with Marine Superintendents to ensure safe and efficient LPG vessel operations
  • Ideal transition role for seafarers moving ashore

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support vessel operations in line with safety and regulatory standards
  • Assist in monitoring ISM compliance and audits
  • Provide operational and safety guidance to LPG vessels
  • Coordinate with ship staff on marine safety and best practices
  • Assist in incident reporting, investigation, and follow-ups

Mandatory Criteria

Sea Experience:

  • Minimum 36 months total sea time as a Deck Officer on pressurised LPG carriers
  • At least 18 months as Chief Officer (CO)
  • Flexibility: Candidates with minimum 12 months as Chief Officer may be considered

Certifications & Training

  • ISM / ISO training & certification (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Candidates may undergo training after joining if not yet certified

 

Candidate Profile

  • Must hold Chief Officer (Chief Mate) rank
  • COC Class 2 (Chief Mate) or Master License required
  • Open to candidates:
    • Transitioning directly from sea
    • With no prior shore experience
  • Freshers (newly promoted Chief Officers) are welcome
