Job Description

 

  • Assist with day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
  • Process invoices, payment requests, credit notes, and other accounting transactions accurately and on time.
  • Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system.
  • Verify invoices and supporting documents against purchase orders, receipts, and relevant approvals.
  • Assist with customer billing, payment allocation, account reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
  • Support vendor invoice processing and ensure payments are properly recorded and matched.
  • Perform regular reconciliation of AR/AP accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
  • Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparation of schedules and account reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, customers, and vendors regarding billing, payment, and account-related queries.
  • Prepare basic financial reports and accounting summaries as required.
  • Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with established accounting procedures and internal controls.
  • Provide general support to the finance and accounting team as needed.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, finance, or general accounting is preferred.
  • Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
