Job Description
- Assist with day-to-day accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.
- Process invoices, payment requests, credit notes, and other accounting transactions accurately and on time.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate financial records in the accounting system.
- Verify invoices and supporting documents against purchase orders, receipts, and relevant approvals.
- Assist with customer billing, payment allocation, account reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding receivables.
- Support vendor invoice processing and ensure payments are properly recorded and matched.
- Perform regular reconciliation of AR/AP accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparation of schedules and account reconciliations.
- Coordinate with internal departments, customers, and vendors regarding billing, payment, and account-related queries.
- Prepare basic financial reports and accounting summaries as required.
- Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with established accounting procedures and internal controls.
- Provide general support to the finance and accounting team as needed.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, finance, or general accounting is preferred.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
- Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Malaysia.
