Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed annual sales targets through new business development, account growth, and effective pipeline management.
- Promote and sell safety products, solutions, and services to customers across the global maritime industry.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within assigned customer accounts to maximise retention and business expansion.
- Create and execute strategic account plans to identify growth opportunities and strengthen long-term customer partnerships.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from enquiry and quotation (RFQ) through contract negotiation, award, and handover to the operations or project team.
- Identify new market opportunities, generate leads, and collaborate with internal teams on business development initiatives and competitive sales strategies.
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payment collection and work closely with the finance team to resolve outstanding receivables.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline, opportunity tracking, and forecasting through the CRM system.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with internal policies, contractual requirements, and relevant maritime industry regulations.
- Work collaboratively with internal departments including Sales Support, Service, Operations, Finance, and Legal to deliver excellent customer service and successful project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in B2B sales within the maritime, marine, or commercial shipping industry.
- Experience selling safety products, solutions, or technical services to the maritime sector will be highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to consistently achieve or exceed sales targets and effectively manage a healthy sales pipeline.
- Strong account management skills with experience developing long-term customer relationships and identifying opportunities for business growth.
- Experience managing the complete sales process, including RFQs, quotations, contract negotiations, and commercial agreements.
- Ability to identify new business opportunities, penetrate existing accounts, and win business from competitors.
- Experience working alongside finance teams to support credit control and ensure timely collection of customer payments.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Highly organised with strong CRM discipline, forecasting ability, and sales reporting experience.
- Self-motivated team player who works effectively across multiple departments while maintaining a high level of professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Familiarity with maritime safety regulations, vessel operations, and compliance-driven sales environments will be an advantage.
