Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day fabrication operations and workshop activities.
  • Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor fabrication progress and ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
  • Liaise closely with clients, project teams, vendors, and production personnel to resolve operational issues and maintain project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company procedures, and quality standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure fabrication works meet required specifications and workmanship standards.
  • Prepare daily progress reports and provide updates on project status, productivity, and resource utilization.
  • Support planning and scheduling activities to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Assist in troubleshooting fabrication-related challenges and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of operational activities.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Production, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in fabrication, steel works, marine, offshore, shipyard, or heavy engineering environments.
  • Experience supervising workshop operations, fabrication teams, or project execution activities.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding, structural steel works, and quality control requirements.
  • Familiarity with workplace safety practices and marine/offshore operational standards.
  • Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple priorities.
