Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day fabrication operations and workshop activities.
- Coordinate manpower, materials, equipment, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor fabrication progress and ensure work is completed according to approved drawings, specifications, and project timelines.
- Liaise closely with clients, project teams, vendors, and production personnel to resolve operational issues and maintain project schedules.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety regulations, company procedures, and quality standards.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure fabrication works meet required specifications and workmanship standards.
- Prepare daily progress reports and provide updates on project status, productivity, and resource utilization.
- Support planning and scheduling activities to optimize operational efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting fabrication-related challenges and implement corrective actions when required.
- Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of operational activities.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Production, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fabrication, steel works, marine, offshore, shipyard, or heavy engineering environments.
- Experience supervising workshop operations, fabrication teams, or project execution activities.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, fabrication plans, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of fabrication processes, welding, structural steel works, and quality control requirements.
- Familiarity with workplace safety practices and marine/offshore operational standards.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple priorities.
