Job Description

This role is based in a city-center office, with regular travel (2–3 times weekly) to a shipyard located in the western part of Singapore. Morning transport to the shipyard is provided, with working hours from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm on yard days.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a team of 4 finance professionals, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance oversight.
  • Manage full-spectrum accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing for both local entities and an overseas subsidiary.
  • Review journal entries and audit schedules, verifying completeness and accuracy of financial records in compliance with local FRS/IFRS standards.
  • Oversee financial reporting and ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory obligations.
  • Manage the full audit cycle and serve as the primary liaison with external auditors for both domestic and foreign operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate GST/VAT submissions.
  • Review corporate tax computations for local entities and coordinate with external tax advisors.
  • Assist with transfer pricing documentation and ensure proper handling of intercompany transactions.
  • Act as a finance business partner to the overseas subsidiary, delivering financial insights and guidance to support operations while ensuring compliance with internal controls, SOPs, and company policies.
  • Prepare and present monthly forecasts and annual budgets for the overseas subsidiary.
  • Support tax computations and transfer pricing documentation for the overseas subsidiary.
  • Handle ad-hoc assignments, including government surveys and preparation of management reports as required.

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 6–8 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, preferably in a regional or multinational environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of local FRS/IFRS, GST/VAT, and corporate tax.
  • Experience with audit and tax compliance across multiple entities.
  • Familiarity with cross-border operations; experience involving the Middle East is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Experience with SAP is an advantage.
