Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Assistant Manager to support the commercial, tendering, and cost estimation functions for FPSO modules, offshore fabrication, and EPC projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, analyzing project costs, supporting contract administration, and partnering with engineering and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial & Tendering

Prepare commercial proposals, cost estimates, and tender submissions for FPSO modules, offshore structures, and EPC projects.

Review tender documents, technical specifications, and commercial requirements to ensure complete and compliant submissions.

Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Planning, and Project teams to consolidate tender inputs and pricing.

Cost Estimation & Commercial Analysis

Develop detailed cost estimates covering materials, fabrication, manpower, subcontractors, equipment, and logistics.

Analyse project costs, identify commercial risks and opportunities, and recommend cost optimisation strategies.

Maintain historical cost data, estimation templates, and pricing databases to improve future tender accuracy.

Contract Administration

Support the review of contracts, variations, change orders, and commercial correspondence.

Assist in evaluating subcontractor and supplier quotations during tender and project execution.

Monitor commercial deliverables and support contract compliance throughout project execution.

Project & Stakeholder Coordination

Work closely with Project Managers and Finance to monitor budgets, cost forecasts, and project profitability.

Liaise with clients, consultants, vendors, and subcontractors on commercial clarifications and tender queries.

Prepare commercial reports, tender evaluations, and management summaries.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Business, or a related discipline.

5–8 years of relevant experience in commercial, estimation, tendering, or contract management within the offshore, FPSO, Oil & Gas, EPC, or heavy engineering industry.

Experience preparing tenders and cost estimates for FPSO topside modules, offshore modules, process skids, living quarters, jackets, or similar EPC fabrication projects.

Good understanding of fabrication, construction, procurement, and project execution processes in offshore projects.

Experience reviewing technical specifications, BOQs, contracts, and commercial documentation.

Strong analytical and commercial skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.

Experience with ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and estimation software is an advantage.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
