Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the regional business development strategy in line with the company’s growth objectives.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the maritime, offshore, and marine engineering sectors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vessel owners, ship management companies, and shipyards
- Drive lead generation, customer acquisition, vendor registrations, and tender submissions.
- Prepare commercial proposals, quotations, costing, and profitability analyses to support business growth.
- Promote the company’s products and services while achieving agreed sales and revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to provide valuable market intelligence.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales pipelines, and equipment databases.
- Ensure confidentiality of commercial information, pricing, and business strategies.
- Deliver excellent customer service by understanding client requirements and providing effective technical and commercial solutions.
- Develop, implement, and improve business processes, office procedures, and operational practices while ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing regional sales and business development team.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Business, Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3Â years of business development or sales experience within the maritime industry.
- Proven track record in developing new business and achieving sales targets.
- Sound commercial acumen with experience preparing costing, pricing, and profitability calculations.
- Excellent networking, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
