Job Description

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement and worldwide delivery of marine lubricants and greases for the fleet, ensuring timely fulfilment and supplier coordination.
  • Review vessel requisitions, prepare purchase orders, coordinate deliveries, and verify supplier invoices for processing.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with lubricant suppliers to ensure service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Oversee weekly global bunker operations, including coordinating fuel deliveries, monitoring supply activities, and ensuring compliance with bunker procedures.
  • Review bunker quantity survey reports, fuel quality test results, and laboratory reports, investigating discrepancies and following up on supplier claims where necessary.
  • Conduct inspections of bunker operations onboard vessels to ensure compliance with operational procedures and fuel quantity integrity.
  • Investigate bunker quantity and remaining-on-board (ROB) discrepancies, recommend corrective actions, and implement preventive measures.
  • Support internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives related to bunker and fuel operations.
  • Liaise with vessel managers, shipboard personnel, suppliers, surveyors, laboratories, and port operations to ensure smooth fuel and lubricant operations.

Requirements

  • GCE O-Levels with at least 8 years of relevant marine operations experience, or ITE/Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant marine operations experience.
  • Previous experience in the bunkering industry is an advantage.
  • Good understanding of physical bunker operations and fuel management procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-through and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work in a 24/7 operational environment when required.
  • Willing and able to board vessels for inspections and operational duties.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work across different cultures and stakeholders.
