Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and driven professional to oversee service operations within marine systems projects in a ship repair environment. This role will be responsible for ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with quality standards, while leading teams and coordinating with key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily execution of service activities for marine systems within ship repair projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Work closely with internal technical teams, clients, and external vendors or subcontractors to ensure project requirements and service standards are met.
  • Plan and implement operational strategies to improve workflow efficiency and ensure optimal allocation of manpower and resources.
  • Ensure all operations adhere to relevant safety regulations, industry standards, and internal company policies.
  • Track project progress and key service performance metrics, providing regular updates and reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Lead, guide, and develop service teams to enhance performance, technical capabilities, and team collaboration.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying gaps and implementing best practices across service operations.
  • Manage operational budgets, including cost control, procurement planning, and resource management to support project execution.
  • Utilize project management tools and Microsoft Office applications to plan, monitor, and report on multiple ongoing projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in marine service operations or within the ship repair industry.
  • Strong technical understanding of marine systems and ship repair processes.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with applicable safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality practices in marine operations.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
