- Operational Management: Guarantee secure and efficient vessel operations, particularly managing cargo and navigation for bulk carriers.
- Safety & Compliance: Establish and uphold safety management frameworks,suchasthe ISM Code, ISPS Code, and global maritime standards.
- Technical Assistance: Manage ship upkeep, repairs, and dry-docking to avert failures.
- Vessel Examination: Perform routine, consistent, and detailed checks on designated
- Performance Monitoring: Assess SMS, examine data, and apply corrective actions to enhance operational effectiveness
Requirements
- Master Mariner (FG) Certificate of Competency
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Marine Superintendent in a ship management company
- Previous sailing experience as Master on Bulk Carriers at least Handymax.
Strong knowledge of:
- Bulk carrier operations
- ISM / ISPS / MLC compliance
- PSC inspections and vetting preparation
- Safety Management Systems
- Experience in incident investigation, audits and crew performance management
- Good communication and reporting skills
