Job Description
• Lead and manage a team of superintendents, providing direction, support, and performance oversight across assigned vessels
• Take ownership of the overall technical condition and operational readiness of the fleet under your charge
• Drive the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies to ensure vessel reliability and compliance
• Oversee all technical matters relating to safe vessel operations, including performance monitoring and condition tracking
• Manage budgeting processes, including annual budget planning and ongoing cost control across the fleet
• Review and ensure effective control of spare parts, consumables, and lubricant usage to support operational efficiency
• Lead root cause investigations for technical incidents, breakdowns, and failures, and implement preventive measures
• Oversee the full lifecycle of dry docking projects, including planning, execution, and post-docking evaluation
• Assess, appoint, and manage external vendors and subcontractors to ensure quality and cost-effective service delivery
• Establish team structure and contingency planning to ensure continuity and support for superintendents
• Set clear team objectives and ensure alignment with broader organisational goals and performance standards
• Handle marine incidents and casualties in line with internal safety and compliance frameworks
• Support vessel takeovers, including coordination with crewing, HSEQ, and marine operations teams to ensure smooth transitions
