Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts within the shipping, maritime, offshore and logistics sectors.
- Build long-term relationships with shipowners, operators, commodity traders, classification societies, ports, law firms, financial institutions and other maritime stakeholders.
- Drive revenue through advertising, branded content, sponsorships, events, subscriptions and integrated marketing solutions.
- Identify new business opportunities and proactively develop new client relationships across the region.
- Understand clients’ business objectives and recommend tailored media and marketing solutions that deliver measurable value.
- Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate contracts and manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to account management.
- Work closely with editorial, marketing and events teams to deliver successful client campaigns and industry events.
- Conduct regular client meetings, presentations and business reviews to strengthen partnerships.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records and pipeline reporting.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, networking events and exhibitions to expand market presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Maritime Studies or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Key Account Management, B2B Sales, Media Sales, Advertising Sales or Business Development.
- Experience selling advertising, sponsorships, digital marketing solutions, events or subscription-based products is highly preferred.
- Maritime or shipping industry knowledge would be a strong advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to engage and influence senior decision-makers.
- Commercially driven with a strong track record of achieving sales targets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot or similar.
