Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the accounting function and oversee the company’s financial reporting and closing activities. The successful candidate will be capable of independently managing the accounting team, strengthening internal processes, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and develop the accounting team while overseeing day-to-day accounting operations.
  • Independently manage the accounting function and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Oversee the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.
  • Review and improve the end-to-end financial closing process to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and reporting timelines.
  • Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial statements, and supporting schedules.
  • Manage intercompany accounting, including reconciliations, balances, transactions, and the resolution of discrepancies.
  • Oversee group consolidation and ensure the accurate and timely submission of financial information by relevant entities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, statutory requirements, internal policies, and financial controls.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual statutory audit process.
  • Review balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting procedures, internal controls, and reporting processes.
  • Support the implementation, optimisation, and effective use of ERP systems, particularly the accounting and finance modules.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and other departments on financial and accounting matters.
  • Undertake other finance-related duties and projects as required.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent would be advantageous.
  • At least 2–3 years of external audit experience.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience leading and managing an accounting team.
  • Proven ability to independently manage the accounting function and supervise daily accounting operations.
  • Strong experience in intercompany accounting and group consolidation.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and improving end-to-end financial closing processes.
  • Good working knowledge of ERP systems, particularly accounting and finance modules.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting standards, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines.
  • Good communication and stakeholder-management skills.
