About the Role

An established organization in the maritime industry is seeking a Field Service Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of field service operations. This permanent position is based in Singapore and plays a key role in ensuring maintenance activities are delivered efficiently while meeting contractual, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate logistics for tools, spare parts, and workshop services based on approved maintenance plans and customer confirmation.
  • Ensure all activities comply with quality, health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain regular communication with customers, service teams, planners, project stakeholders, and external suppliers regarding work progress and status updates.
  • Arrange field service jobs, workshop activities, spare parts, tools, and third-party services required for maintenance execution.
  • Work closely with field service personnel before, during, and after service assignments to ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
  • Respond promptly and accurately to customer service requests.
  • Proactively coordinate the procurement, shipment, and delivery of spare parts, tools, and workshop components to prevent operational delays.
  • Keep contract or project managers informed of any issues, changes, or potential risks affecting service delivery.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation while consolidating shipments to optimize logistics efficiency.
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, delivery locations, quantities, or other operational requirements.
  • Collect, consolidate, and distribute field service reports to relevant stakeholders.
  • Liaise with technical support teams whenever additional expertise or assistance is required.
  • Review service-related costs and provide accurate information to support billing and invoicing processes.
  • Handle and coordinate claims related to field services, spare parts, tools, or logistics.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for logistics arrangements, including tools, spare parts, accommodation, permits, and visa requirements for service personnel.
  • Collaborate proactively with internal supply chain teams to resolve delivery challenges and identify practical solutions for urgent requirements.
  • Ensure contractual terms related to spare parts and service agreements are properly followed.
  • Participate as an active member of the project or contract management team.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Marine Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in service coordination, logistics, or maritime maintenance support is an advantage.
