Responsibilities
- Handle freight enquiries and provide freight offers for spot shipments and COAs
- Negotiate and manage shipping contracts
- Coordinate with operations teams to monitor voyage execution and ensure smooth operations
- Manage chartered vessels in accordance with contractual terms
- Support post-fixture activities including laytime, freight, and hire settlements
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, vessel owners, brokers, agents, and counterparties
- Conduct port and market research, including port costs and restrictions
- Provide market updates and freight intelligence to internal teams
- Maintain voyage and chartering records accurately
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in Maritime Studies, Logistics, or related discipline
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in dry bulk chartering with operational exposure
- Familiarity with Handysize / Supramax / Ultramax / Panamax vessels preferred
- Good understanding of dry bulk shipping markets and chartering operations
- Experience handling commodities such as coal, iron ore, grains, or similar cargoes is advantageous
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of IMOS is an advantage
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
