Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Drive sales growth and expand the company’s customer base within the marine and shipping industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, ship managers, operators, offshore companies, and other maritime stakeholders.
- Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships.
- Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and support pricing strategies.
- Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to support business planning.
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.
- Coordinate closely with logistics, procurement, warehouse, technical, and customer service teams.
- Monitor inventory movement, delivery schedules, operational costs, and overall service quality.
- Resolve customer concerns, operational issues, and service escalations promptly and professionally.
Team Leadership
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales and operations team to achieve business objectives.
- Set clear KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and performance-driven working environment.
Reporting & Compliance
- Support senior management in implementing business strategies and process improvements.
- Prepare sales forecasts, operational reports, and management updates.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in sales, operations, business development, or general management.
- Prior experience managing teams is required.
- Experience in marine chemicals, marine lubricants, shipping, offshore, technical services, or related industries is advantageous.
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive business growth.
- Good understanding of operational workflows, logistics, inventory coordination, and customer service delivery.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage both commercial and operational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Hands-on, solutions-oriented, and adaptable across different functions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in preparing reports and forecasts.
