Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive sales growth and expand the company’s customer base within the marine and shipping industry.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with shipowners, ship managers, operators, offshore companies, and other maritime stakeholders.
  • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and strategic partnerships.
  • Prepare commercial proposals, negotiate contracts, and support pricing strategies.
  • Monitor market trends, customer requirements, and competitor activities to support business planning.

Operations Management

  • Oversee day-to-day operational activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and services.
  • Coordinate closely with logistics, procurement, warehouse, technical, and customer service teams.
  • Monitor inventory movement, delivery schedules, operational costs, and overall service quality.
  • Resolve customer concerns, operational issues, and service escalations promptly and professionally.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and motivate the sales and operations team to achieve business objectives.
  • Set clear KPIs and monitor team performance.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven working environment.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Support senior management in implementing business strategies and process improvements.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, operational reports, and management updates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and customer requirements.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Engineering, Supply Chain, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in sales, operations, business development, or general management.
  • Prior experience managing teams is required.
  • Experience in marine chemicals, marine lubricants, shipping, offshore, technical services, or related industries is advantageous.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive business growth.
  • Good understanding of operational workflows, logistics, inventory coordination, and customer service delivery.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage both commercial and operational responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Hands-on, solutions-oriented, and adaptable across different functions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in preparing reports and forecasts.
