Job Description

Business Development & Sales

  • Prospect ship owners, managers, fleet operators, and shipyards to generate new business.

  • Strengthen client relationships to drive repeat business and long-term partnerships.

  • Register the company as an approved vendor to secure continuous enquiries.

  • Meet annual sales, revenue, and client retention targets.

Commercial Management

  • Serve as primary commercial contact for client enquiries.

  • Work with Service and Technical teams to finalise quotations.

  • Secure new Fleet Service Agreements (FSA) and manage timely renewals.

  • Prepare, review, and negotiate tenders, proposals, service contracts, and framework agreements.

Strategy & Market Intelligence

  • Develop sales strategies for LSA, FFE, and technical services aligned with company goals.

  • Track market trends, competitor activity, and customer expectations.

  • Recommend strategic sales or service adjustments based on market intelligence.

Internal Coordination

  • Collaborate with Technical and Service Managers to clarify scope, feasibility, and commercial terms.

  • Ensure sales activities, contracts, and communications comply with QMS, internal procedures, client technical scope, and Class/Flag limitations.

  • Coordinate with Finance on payment follow-ups, receivables, and risk control.

  • Support internal teams on contract clarifications and escalations.

  • Liaise with Technical Coordinators, Superintendents, and Fleet Managers to close service jobs.

  • Coordinate with shipyards and repair facilities for dry-dock and project opportunities.

Representation & Reporting

  • Represent the company at exhibitions, conferences, and client meetings.

  • Maintain sales pipeline, forecasts, and CRM records.

  • Prepare reports on sales performance, hit rates, client feedback, market conditions, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s in Business, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

  • Sales/commercial certification preferred.

  • 8–10 years in marine services, LSA/FFE, ship management, or technical sales.

  • Proven marine sales and contract negotiation experience.

  • Strong knowledge of SOLAS, LSA Code, and marine regulations.

  • Basic technical understanding of LSA and FFE systems.
