Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business development by identifying and securing project cargo and freight forwarding opportunities
- Develop relationships with EPC contractors, oil & gas companies, renewable energy firms, shipyards, and industrial clients
- Promote and sell project logistics solutions including heavy lift, breakbulk, OOG cargo, multimodal transport, warehousing, customs clearance, and port operations
- Prepare commercial proposals, RFQs, quotations, and tender submissions
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and commercial negotiations
- Coordinate closely with operations, chartering, transport teams, and overseas agents for smooth project execution
- Identify new market opportunities across oil & gas, offshore, marine, infrastructure, and industrial sectors
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, freight rates, and industry developments
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers, subcontractors, transport vendors, and logistics partners
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, profitability goals, and business development KPIs
- Maintain accurate CRM records, sales pipelines, customer reports, and revenue forecasts
Requirements
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in business development, commercial sales, or key account management within project logistics or freight forwarding
- Strong understanding of project cargo operations, international freight forwarding, and multimodal transportation
- Experience handling heavy lift, breakbulk, oversized, or out-of-gauge (OOG) cargo shipments is preferred
- Good knowledge of shipping operations, customs procedures, Incoterms, and transport coordination
- Existing network within oil & gas, offshore, EPC, marine, infrastructure, or renewable energy sectors is advantageous
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to engage senior decision-makers and manage complex commercial discussions
- Self-driven, commercially focused, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities with the capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CRM systems, and commercial reporting tools
