Job Description
- Issue hire and freight invoices related to Bareboat Charter arrangements, Time Charter (In/Out), and Voyage Charters.
- Work with the Finance team to monitor and follow up on the timely receipt of hire and freight payments.
- Prepare, reconcile, and close Post-Fixture Hire Statements (PFHS), Freight Hire Statements (FHS), and outstanding freight with owners and charterers.
- Maintain accurate hire data and assist in generating weekly and monthly Profit & Loss summaries.
- Coordinate with port agents to gather and review preliminary Port Disbursement Accounts (PDAs).
- Verify and authorize final PDAs, ensuring they meet the agreed charter party conditions.
- Manage pre-funding requests and final PDA disbursements in coordination with Finance.
- Assess and settle demurrage and despatch claims for voyage charters according to agreed terms.
Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Maritime, Shipping, Accounting, or a relevant field.
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience in dry bulk operations, chartering, or commercial shipping is preferred.
- Basic familiarity with charter party agreements, shipping terms, and port functions.
- Skilled in Microsoft Excel; experience with tools like IMOS or Danaos is an added advantage.
- Meticulous with numbers, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Good interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external contacts
