Job Description
The job entails the responsibility of managing all ship operations, including resolving any operational issues with relevant parties, coordinating with various parties such as the ship master, ship broker, bunker trader, port agents, and marine surveyor on a day-to-day basis to ensure smooth voyages.
Additionally, the role involves assisting the chartering and operation manager as required, coordinating with the account and commercial department on payments, business summary preparation, BL collection, tallying of financial statements, and following up on outstanding accounts with relevant parties.
The job also includes handling voyage accounts for the ships, calculating laytime, settling the final voyage account with the ship owner and voyage charterer, coordinating with the ship management or bunkering department on bunkering-related matters, updating internal data management, controlling voyage expenses, optimizing voyage turn around time, and maximizing profitability for the respective voyages.
The job requires a diploma or degree and at least 5 years of work experience in dry bulk shipping, experience in handling panamax, supramax, and handymax size ships with knowledge of dry bulk cargoes, multitasking abilities, proficiency in handling time charter and voyage charter, good time management and communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team environment with younger members, multilingual skills, familiarity with various chat applications.
