Job Description
Responsibilities
- Develop relations with refineries primarily in China to identify trading opportunities.
- Maintain and manage existing business, including tract flows.
- Understand clients’ needs and develop solutions and strategies.
- Gain a detailed understanding of the supply chain, including identifying challenges and concerns of customers across the value chain.
- Acquire strong knowledge of the raw material value in use, and the production process of chemical products.
- Develop a deep understanding of the raw material market and product market fundamentals including trade flows.
- Act as a secondary support for the Senior Commodity Book Manager.
- Execute derivatives execution when required.
- Contribute insights for cargo pricing considerations.
- Assist in managing derivatives operations.
- Maintain broker counterparty relationships.
- Provide analytical support to inform trading decisions.
- Assist in the management and refinement of the physical pricing database and
models.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree in business and international trade or relevant major.
- At least 5 years of derivatives market experience in mineral commodities.
- Min 1 years of physical sales experience in commodities.
- Good communication skills in both English and Mandarin (to communicate with China counterpart).
