Job Description
Key Responsibilities
-
Develop and execute profitable dry bulk trading strategies across short and long-term horizons.

Source and manage cargo and vessel opportunities, balancing freight and commodity positions.

Negotiate charter party agreements (spot, COAs, TCs) and manage voyage profitability.

Maintain strong relationships with commodity producers, traders, shipowners, operators, and brokers.

Monitor and analyze global dry bulk market trends, freight rates, and supply/demand fundamentals.
-
Work closely with operations, risk management, and finance teams to ensure smooth execution of trades.

Identify new market opportunities and clients, including expansion into new geographies or commodities.
-
Ensure compliance with internal risk controls, trading limits, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in dry bulk trading or chartering (handy, supramax, panamax, capesize).

Strong knowledge of dry bulk commodities and freight markets.
-
Proven ability to manage P&L and drive commercial results.
-
Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
-
Ability to make quick, data-informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in using shipping/trading platforms (e.g., IMOS, Veson, Eikon, or similar).
-
Self-motivated, results-oriented, and willing to travel when required.
