  • To oversee and offer direction on vessels’ adherence to international regulations, Class & Flag Survey criteria, marine standards, and HSSE matters;
  • To oversee and offer direction while helping the ship’s crew in adopting safe methods/practices that align with the vessels’ health, safety, security, and environmental protection protocols;
  • Organize, prepare, and direct ships for SIRE Inspection and various Oil major inspections; conduct pre-vetting inspection and submit response report on OCIMF website;
  • Guarantee the effective and satisfactory operation of the vessel to fulfill the charterer’s needs;
  • Oversee and direct ships’ adherence to PSC/FSC requirements; Provide a report regarding any shortcomings identified during PSC/FSC inspections;
  • Support DPA with technical issues, updating SMS, generating Technical Circulars, etc.;
  • Perform vessel inspections to verify adherence to the Company’s SMS and different rules and regulations;
  • To perform inspections of ships and conduct onboard internal audits (SI, ISM, ISPS, MLC, cargo, mooring, bunker, sailing, etc.);
  • Enforce and track the vessels’ safety and pollution-related non-conformities;
  • Support ships in addressing and resolving any non-conformity, ensure entries in the company’s onshore databases.
  • Close call, Incident, dangerous events, Non-compliance Investigations/Analysis;
  • Risk management: Regulate and reduce risk across all operations;
  • Perform risk evaluation, execute investigations, and generate reports for all significant incidents/accidents while recommending measures to avoid recurrence;
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a team member for emergency situations if designated by management during crises;
  • Organize and set up the office for the external TMSA audit and additional inspections by Oil Majors;
  • Readiness for DOC audits and Oil Major Inspections for Office;
  • Oversee and keep track of the survey and certification records for fleetships’ vessels, ensuring they remain valid for trading;
  • To plan, oversee, and regulate the budget for vessel operation and maintenance;
  • To oversee vessel performance and maintenance according to the vessel’s PMS;
  • To guarantee NC, any breakdowns or problems are communicated with makers, service providers, charterers, and owners, and follow-up measures are implemented to address the issues swiftly within the agreed timeframe;
  • Creation of work order and safety management of tasks;
  • To organize and oversee the repair and docking of vessels within budget constraints;
  • To schedule and provide ship spare parts and supplies promptly and within budget.
  • Confirm that spare parts and safety equipment inventory are current;
  • Maintenance of files and paperwork;
  • Gathering and evaluating the HSSE data for the company on a monthly, semi-annual, and annual basis and presenting to

administration;

  • Gathering of Vessel SEEMP Part III & annual IMO DCS data, EEXI requirement, and Submission to class/ flag for

confirmation;

  • To take on the responsibilities of the Company Security Officer (CSO);
  • To carry out additional responsibilities as designated

 

Requirements

Specifications

  • Class 1 C.O.C. Engineer
  • Class 2 C.O.C Engineer at minimum
  • Worked as an Engineer, preferably on Tankers.
  • Minimum experience as Chief Officer on tankers
  • Preferred with shore experience. From Sailing is also appreciated
