Job Description
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day technical management of assigned vessels, including maintenance, repairs, and dry-dockings.
- Ensure compliance with flag state, class, statutory regulations, and company technical standards.
- Manage planned maintenance systems (PMS), defect reporting, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with shipyards, service providers, makers, and suppliers for repairs and spares.
- Prepare and control technical budgets, monitor costs, and ensure cost-effective execution.
- Provide technical support to vessels, Masters, and Chief Engineers, including troubleshooting and incident follow-ups.
- Participate in dry-dock planning, execution, and post-dock evaluation.
- Work closely with HSQE, operations, and commercial teams to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
- Review technical performance data and implement improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Class 1 or Class 2 Marine Engineer Certificate, or equivalent maritime engineering qualification.
- Prior experience as a Technical Superintendent managing tanker vessels is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of marine engineering systems, dry-docking, and regulatory requirements.
- Good budgeting, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple vessels simultaneously.
