Technical Superintendent, Dry (Dual-Fuel)

Job Detail

Oversee the safe and efficient operation of assigned vessels.
Maintain full familiarity with the Company’s Management System.
Ensure effective implementation of the Company’s Management System.
Contribute to the enhancement of existing procedures or the development of new ones.
Promote and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor compliance with the Company’s Management System for shipboard and departmental operations.
Assess and oversee the technical and operational performance of assigned vessels.
Ensure sound financial management and cost control.
Plan and coordinate vessel repairs and dry dockings.
Guarantee vessels meet all international certification requirements and standards.
Ensure vessels are adequately crewed with competent personnel.
Prepare and submit technical reports to vessel owners in line with management agreements.
Foster a strong safety culture and promote environmental and energy awareness onboard.
Provide technical and operational support to shipboard management as needed.

Requirements:

Possess a marine degree from a recognized university with at least three (3) years of experience onboard ships or within the shipping industry.
Alternatively, hold a Chief Engineer’s license with a minimum of two (2) years of sea service as a Chief Engineer.
Alternatively, have at least two years of experience as a Technical Superintendent in another shipping company.
Experience in container and bulk vessel operations.
Strong leadership, management, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
Comprehensive knowledge of the marine industry, including relevant rules and regulations.
In-depth technical understanding of assigned vessels.
Familiarity with procurement processes and budget cost control.
Communication with Mandarin speaking clients.
