Job Description
Role:
- Technical Management: Supervise upkeep, repairs, and dry-docking for bulk carriers.
- Compliance & Safety: Guaranteeconformitywith Class, Flag State, and IMO standards.
- FinancialOversight:Supervise operating budgets, encompassing fuel usage and maintenanceexpenses.
- Crew Assistance: Offer technical guidance to onboard engineering teams and perform evaluations.
- Performance Evaluation: Assess ship efficiency and execute enhancements
- Managing dry docking and repairs
- Financial oversight and technical expenditure management
- Categorization and legal obligations
- Skilled in overseeing engine efficiency, maintenance, and problem-solving
Requirements:
- Certificate of Competency for Chief Engineer
- Prior sailing experience as Chief Engineer on Bulk Carriers
- At least 4–5 years of shore experience as a Technical Superintendent overseeing bulk carriers, at minimum Handymax size.
- In-depth understanding of: Scheduled Maintenance Systems
