Job Description
- Ensure the safe and cost-effective operation of assigned ships.
- Demonstrate thorough familiarity with the Company’s Management System and effectively implement it.
- Contribute to the development or modification of procedures as necessary.
- Support and promote continuous improvement efforts.
- Monitor compliance with the Company’s Management System relevant to shipboard and departmental activities.
- Monitor the performance, technical, and operational conditions of assigned ships.
- Practice prudent financial management.
- Coordinate repairs and dry dockings as needed.
- Ensure full certification of ships according to international standards.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels on ships.
- Prepare technical reports for owners in accordance with management agreements.
- Foster a strong safety culture and environmental awareness on assigned ships.
- Provide technical and operational support to shipboard management.
- Control and monitor vessel budgets in collaboration with the Technical Fleet Manager and Technical Superintendent.
- Maintain communication channels with Owners continuously.
- Maintain ships’ particulars, technical data, and basic plans for emergency preparedness.
- Keep all Emergency and Media Response Room equipment up-to-date.
