Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Handle daily procurement activities for two vessels, ensuring purchases stay within the set budget.
- Maintain the Inventory Management System (IMS) by regularly updating it with records of item supply and consumption, as well as tracking requisition statuses.
- Support Technical Superintendents by reviewing, organizing, and updating weekly and monthly reports for assigned vessels.
- Identify and approach vendors, send Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and follow internal procurement procedures.
- Evaluate supplier options and negotiate optimal deals focusing on product quality, pricing, payment terms, delivery timelines, and service standards.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of required items to the vessels.
- Manage invoice processing within the system and liaise with the finance team when necessary to ensure prompt payment in line with internal guidelines.
- Ensure high-quality execution of routine procurement tasks and related administrative duties.
- Assist with other technical office tasks, including organizing and maintaining technical documentation and reports.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in a procurement or purchasing role.
- Strong sense of accountability and results-oriented mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, with solid general computer skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and methodical in approach.
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude.
