Job Description
Primary Responsibilities:
- Closely monitor vessel schedules and onboard fuel oil (ROB) levels for daily operational needs.
- Conduct regular ship visits for inspections and maintain close liaison with the Master and crew.
- Assist Technical Superintendents with managing the Inventory Management System (IMS), ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of supplies and consumption.
- Coordinate daily procurement activities, ensuring all purchases are made within the allocated budget.
- Source suppliers, issue RFQs, and negotiate the best prices, terms, and delivery times.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of supplies to vessels.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and pricing data within the ERP software.
- Process invoices and follow up with accounts to ensure timely payments.
- Ensure the competent and timely execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative tasks.
- Assist with other technical tasks as required, including filing and maintaining technical reports.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar procurement or logistics role.
- Results-oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and general computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and attention to detail.
