Job Description
- Collaborate with Managers and Superintendents to ensure timely provision of technical spare parts or vessel repair services.
- Manage procurement tasks and coordinate logistics for transporting spare parts to the vessels.
- Generate job sheets within the Tally Accounting system and issue purchase orders to vendors.
- Provide vendors with delivery notes, proforma invoices, and packing lists to facilitate deliveries.
- Reach out to global suppliers for quotations on technical spare part supplies through inquiries and requisitions.
- Communicate with vessels to gather necessary information related to requisitions.
- Track and follow up on quotations received from suppliers.
- Assist in organizing logistics, including air freight, sea freight, land transport, and sea transport.
- Engage with agents and ships to facilitate the worldwide supply of spare parts and occasional vessel repairs.
- Maintain organized documentation and share final cost details with the accounts team for billing and invoicing purposes.
