Job Description
- Create, execute, and sustain marine IT and control systems for both onboard and shore operations.
- Assist vessel systems encompassing navigation, communication, and automation systems.
- Track system efficacy and guarantee dependability of maritime technologies.
- Resolve hardware/software problems throughout fleet systems.
- Implement cybersecurity protocols for maritime systems.
- Manage system upgrades, installations, and integrations of coordinates.
- Collaborate with suppliers and shipyards for system installation and upkeep.
- Keep records, system logs, and adherence to marine technology regulations.
Requirements:
- Expertise in maritime systems, IT frameworks, or ship automation
- Familiarity with navigation technologies (ECDIS, GPS, AIS) and communication networks (VSAT)
- Knowledge of marine automation and control systems
- Comprehension of maritime cybersecurity methods
- Expertise in system diagnostics and problem-solving
- Capability to collaborate with cross-departmental teams and provide remote support for vessels.
- Robust analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Readiness to travel or assist vessels from a distance when needed
