Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design of marine structure including ships and offshore facilities
- Perform structural stress, fatique and dynamic analysis using FEA tools
- Develop simulation for offshore structural performance under various loading conditions
- Work closely with other disciplines to apply structural analysis results for final outcome of project design
- Perform presentations to external and internal stakeholders on detailed designs and technical reports
- Ensure compliance with class requirements, regulatory does and industry codes
- Active participation in failure mode analysis, risk assessments and design reviews
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor Degree in civil/structural engineering or naval architecture
- Proven track record in engineering deliverables in structural analysis and marine structure designs
- Expert user in ANSYS, or equivalent
- Strong understanding in IACS codes
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced and multi-tasking work environment
- Candidates with Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) licenses will have added advantage
