Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Actively seek and assess vessels for sale & purchase within the bulk sector.
- Identify and engage potential buyers or sellers, cultivating strong relationships and understanding their needs.
- Negotiate favorable terms and conditions for vessel transactions, ensuring client satisfaction and profitability.
- Stay informed on market trends, vessel values, and regulatory changes to provide well-informed advice to clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of Shipbroker experience, focusing on bulk carriers (Handymax/supramax experience preferred).
- Extensive network of contacts in the maritime industry, including shipowners, operators, and charterers.
- Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
- Thorough understanding of vessel types, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in maritime studies or related fields are a plus.
- Willing to travel overseas frequently.
