Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily vessel operations for assigned MR tankers, including voyage planning, port operations, bunkering, and documentation.
  • Liaise with masters, agents, charterers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth execution of voyages.
  • Monitor vessel performance, schedules, and costs to ensure operational efficiency and contractual compliance.
  • Handle pre-fixture and post-fixture operational matters, including laytime calculations and demurrage/despatch tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and company operational standards.
  • Coordinate with technical and HSQE teams on vessel issues, incidents, and maintenance-related matters.
  • Maintain accurate operational records and reports.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies, Nautical Science, or a related discipline.
  • Prior experience as a Shipping Operator / Vessel Operator handling MR tankers is essential.
  • Strong understanding of tanker operations, charter party terms, and voyage execution.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple vessels and stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
