Job Description
Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day chartering activities including fixing of group period charted
vessels
• Negotiate spot cargo rates, terms and conditions
• Administer all CP’s concluded
• To respond to enquiries and follow up
• Maintaining a database of vessel positions,
• Preparing charter parties and other necessary fixture documentation, where required
• Support the team for all Chartering and Shipping related matters.
• Liaise with Shipbrokers and Cargo/Shipping Operators in vessels clearance.
• Liaise with vessel(s) for smooth operations and voyage optimisation
• Ensure a good understanding of cargo/ports requirement and organize the prerequisite
clearance documents for an efficient vessel clearance.
• Ensure a good understand of market practice and charter party terms for managing the
costs exposures.
• Maintain accurate record of Chartering/Shipping activities.
• Responsible for the Fixture Notes preparation and circulation.
• Responsible for the Chartering/Shipping e-filing system.
• Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies
- Min 3 years of relevant working experience in oil trading industry/ or with Tanker Owners•
- Excellent command of English language in order to communicate effectively
- Good understanding & knowledge of charter party terms and Product tanker operations
