Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Handle Chartering and Brokering activities
  • Review and interpret sales and earnings reports
  • Ensure adherence to port, flag state regulations, and shipping terms
  • Assess chartering activity reports and trends in ship supply and demand
  • Negotiate spot fixtures and time charters to support chartering functions
  • Track and evaluate performance against key KPIs
  • Formulate strategic plans for business units
  • Drive growth in the chartering sector
  • Analyse market trends to identify growth opportunities
  • Evaluate risks associated with new business opportunities
  • Manage client accounts and relationships
  • Oversee contracts with charterers, shipowners, and internal Shipbroking teams
  • Address and resolve issues related to client servicing

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in a maritime-related field; fresh graduates may apply
  • Ability to clearly present and advocate ideas to achieve shared goals
  • Skilled in interpreting others’ emotions to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
  • Demonstrates teamwork by fulfilling responsibilities and supporting colleagues to meet objectives
  • Understands and anticipates customer needs; actively seeks feedback to enhance service
  • Builds and nurtures long-term customer relationships to foster loyalty
