Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Handle Chartering and Brokering activities
- Review and interpret sales and earnings reports
- Ensure adherence to port, flag state regulations, and shipping terms
- Assess chartering activity reports and trends in ship supply and demand
- Negotiate spot fixtures and time charters to support chartering functions
- Track and evaluate performance against key KPIs
- Formulate strategic plans for business units
- Drive growth in the chartering sector
- Analyse market trends to identify growth opportunities
- Evaluate risks associated with new business opportunities
- Manage client accounts and relationships
- Oversee contracts with charterers, shipowners, and internal Shipbroking teams
- Address and resolve issues related to client servicing
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in a maritime-related field; fresh graduates may apply
- Ability to clearly present and advocate ideas to achieve shared goals
- Skilled in interpreting others’ emotions to maintain effective interpersonal relationships
- Demonstrates teamwork by fulfilling responsibilities and supporting colleagues to meet objectives
- Understands and anticipates customer needs; actively seeks feedback to enhance service
- Builds and nurtures long-term customer relationships to foster loyalty
