Job Description
- Perform installation, commissioning, and servicing of marine equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out troubleshooting and repairs onboard or onshore
- Conduct preventive maintenance to reduce equipment downtime
- Provide technical support and guidance to vessel crew and clients
- Interpret technical drawings, manuals, and schematics
- Carry out inspections and performance testing of machinery
- Prepare service reports, maintenance logs, and technical documentation
- Recommend corrective actions and improvements
- Travel to ports, shipyards, and offshore locations as required
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- 2–5+ years of relevant experience in marine engineering or equipment servicing
- Knowledge of marine systems including engines, pumps, compressors, and auxiliaries
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
- Good communication and reporting skills
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel frequently (local and international)
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Physically fit for onboard and field work
- Valid passport and seafarer documents (preferred or required)
 Preferred Qualifications
- Previous seagoing experience (e.g., 3rd Engineer or 2nd Engineer)
- OEM training from engine manufacturers (e.g., MAN, Wärtsilä)
- Knowledge of PLC and automation systems
- Relevant safety and technical certifications (e.g., STCW)
