Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform servicing and repairs of deepwell and submerged pumps on LPG and LNG tankers.

  • Carry out maintenance and repair work on safety valves and cargo compressors for LPG and LNG vessels.

  • Troubleshoot issues related to pumps, safety valves, and compressors to ensure safe and reliable operation.

  • Conduct repair and service tasks both during voyages and while vessels are docked at shipyards.

  • Assignments typically last 1–3 weeks, handled by teams of 1–2 Service Engineers.

  • Work is performed worldwide, either onboard during sailing or in dry-dock, with an expected travel commitment of around 160 days per year.


Skills and Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement: Higher Nitec or Diploma in Marine, Mechanical, or related engineering disciplines.

  • Prior experience in a similar role within the maritime industry is advantageous.

  • Reliable, responsible, and trusted by both colleagues and customers.

  • Proactive, motivated, and able to collaborate effectively as part of a team.

  • Displays loyalty, positivity, and a professional yet approachable attitude.

  • Strong customer service orientation with good interpersonal skills.

  • Capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with LPG/LNG carriers is preferred.

  • Able to work independently, travel internationally on short notice, and adapt to irregular working hours.

  • Strong command of English, both spoken and written.

  • Competent in documentation and proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
