Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform planned service, commissioning and troubleshooting of the Ballast Water Treatment Systems (BWTS) on board the vessels
- Prepare service jobs by following closely the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) to ensure efficient execution
- Travel domestically and internationally to service jobs on board the vessels, with the potential to sail with the vessel if required
- Communicate effectively with customers to ensure clear understanding and expectation
- Document all work performed, and conclusions drawn while carrying out works on boar, and ensure service reports are endorsed and accepted by the customer
- Identify potential improvements, including sales leads, and provide advice to customers
- Provide training to peers and customers, and assist in developing training materials and content
- Assist in emergency service requests and provide timely support to minimize vessel down-time
Requirements
- Degree/Diploma in relevant engineering discipline
- Good knowledge in BWTS used on maritime vessels
- Fluent in written and spoken English with good knowledge in Microsoft Office tools
- Able to work irregular houses, including weekends and public holidays if required
