Job Description
Main Tasks/Areas Of Responsibility:
- Responsible for the design of telecommunication system (Radio Communication System, Security System, Navigation Aids, Wired Communication)
- Preparation of specifications for procurement of equipment
- Develop detailed system design with diagrams and schematics.
- Selection of telecom equipment
- Develop bulk material listings
- Provide input for preparation of selected reports, weight, equipment list
- Participate in all engineering phases across Conceptual and Basic Designs, FEED and Detailed Engineering
- Understand and interpret requirements from customers and authorities.
- Clarify design certification with customers and 3rd party
- Subject matter expert in the fields of Radio Communication Systems: GMDSS, Microwave Radio, SCADA Radio, Trunked Radio, Crane Radio, Radio Dispatch, Satellite Phones
- Subject Matter Expert in the fields of Security Systems: Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion Detection, PABX (VoIP), Person On Board (POB)
- Subject matter expert in the fields of Navigation Aids: Radar, ECDIS, Auto Pilot, AIS, DGPS, LRIT, Compass, Echo Sounder, Speed Log, VDR, Navigation & Obstruction Lights, RACON, Fog Horn, BNWAS, VSAT, Entertainment System, EMS
- Subject matter expert in the fields of Wired Communication: PAGA, Page Party, Talk Back, Smart Series, Driller, PABX (Analog), Sound-Powered Phone System
